Guisborough Priory Bowls Club

Guisborough Priory Bowls Club is a friendly club where bowlers of all abilities are made welcome.

All of our members are welcome to play in any of our many annual club competitions. In addition, we have a full programme of Friendly matches, Open competitions and a regular Monday afternoon organised social bowling session where all are welcome and where basic coaching is available.

There are excellent opportunities for members to play in the local leagues. We currently have teams in the EBA and the Cleveland League (which we have won 7 times out of the last eight years). In addition, we have teams playing in the Middlesbrough League, Teesside Ladies, the Cleveland League Triples and the Teesside Veterans League.

The Club has some striking views of the Cleveland Hills and we are very fortunate in enjoying one of the finest greens in the area, expertly prepared by our Green Keeper.

The club will be holding an OPEN DAY on Monday June 6th 2011 so if you want to “try before you buy”, come along between 1pm & 4.30pm & have a roll up. All you will need is suitable loose clothing and a pair of flat bottomed shoes, preferably with little or no pattern on the sole. (NOTE: Unfortunately, No shoes with heels can be allowed.) There is no cost for this event, and free light refreshments will be available. Experienced club members will be on hand to provide bowls and to show you how it’s done. If you like what you see, you can complete an application form on the day.

Normal annual subscriptions are £50, but New Members will continue to pay only £25 during 2011 for their first year of membership. If you wish to take up this offer, see the contact details below.
